As a contribution to the nutrition program executed by the Wayuu Taya Foundation, together with allied organizations, habitants of the municipalities Guajira, Mara and Jesús Enrique Lossada of Zulia state – Venezuela are receiving food weekly.
Given the strong humanitarian crisis in Venezuela, the Wayuu taya Foundation intensifies its health and nutrition programs to serve more than 3,500 children from the Guajira, Mara and Jesús Enrique Lossada municipalities of the Zulia state.
Since last April, The World Central Kitchen in partnership with Wayuu Taya have prepared humanitarian meals in the schools and communities of the aforementioned municipalities, benefiting more than 3,500 indigenous children as a whole.
Also during this month of July, Clinton Giustra Enterprise and World Central Kitchen have made a significant contributions weekly from Riohacha – Colombia, serving more than 1,500 people. Bananas, pineapple, papaya, potatoes and onions are some of the foods prepared by the volunteers.
Among the schools that receive the benefits are Nerio Emiro Sempun Polanco “Tepichi Talatshi”, Jesús Redentor School, El Mogu School, Virgin Peace School, San Luis School and the communities are Los Lechosos, El Puentecito, Sipisipi and Santa Ana.
