This past Thursday, July 12th, the 2017-2018 school year ended at the U. E.N. Virgen de la Paz, Parroquia Mariano Parra León in the town Jesús Enrique Lossada, state of Zulia.
Its facilitator, Prof. Jesús Aguilar began the “I Muestra de Música ancestral Wayuu Taya” (1st ancestral music show, Wayuu Taya). Attending team: MSc. Raíza Cambar – Social Development Coord., MSc. Aritina Fernández – Intercultural Education Coord. and Lcda. Asmiria Semprun – health and nutrition Coord., with support from CPBEZ – Lossada.
The participating children from the workshop showcased their knowledge, abilities and skills with each of the traditional Wayuu music instruments. For the act’s opening, the children sang the national anthem in wayuunaiki, followed by the traditional dance of the Yonna, the experiences have been significant, said the Institution’s coordinator along the sub principal and representatives that expressed their words of gratitude for the execution of this important workshop in benefit of the school’s body of students.
