Promoting the foundation’s health and nutrition program, continuous assessments of malnutrition cases in critical conditions are carried out
The past Tuesday, July 17th, the Wayuu Taya Foundation, through its health and nutrition program, represented by the Lcda. Asmiria Semprún, coordinator, along the Mgs. Raíza Cambar, social development coordinator, the Lcdo. José Luis Molero, educational link coordinator and the support from Ms. Alexis Bracho, the Shukumalaya project coordinator, the assessment of children in a state of malnutrition was carried out
With a strong sense of collaboration, teamwork and humanitarian help, the Wayuu Taya Foundation attends to 18 cases of children with different levels of malnutrition (light, moderate, severe), in the sector La Popular, Km 28, on the way to el Mojan in Mara, in the state of Zulia.
In this activity, social reports are made of each case, where the children’s weights and sizes are measured, and their parents are oriented, while the children benefit from the Vaso program and the foundation’s sancocho humanitario, along the humanitarian help provided by the institutions that contribute to the social cause.
On this occasion, the children received milk formulas, cereals and medicine thanks to the contribution from the HAPPY EATING foundation, represented by the Lcda. Vickyellen Rodríguez (volunteer).
In this sense, the Wayuu Taya Foundation, along its allies, will continue to look over the tranquility and wellbeing of the health of the Venezuelan and Latin-American indigenous people throughout health and nutritional assessment events.
