Venezuela/Press Wayuu Taya.-

The Wayuu Taya Foundation, and the Damas de San Vicente de Cagua-Aragua-Venezuela join forces to better the lives of Venezuelan children.

In an effort made by Miriam Gallardo and Courtney Spitz, with the support of the Community of Provincetown, and the company Edrington an annual summer kickoff event is raising funds to feed, educate and provide child care for Venezuelan children at risk due to poverty and the horrible situation people are currently facing in Venezuela.

These donations are coming in at a critical time when food is scarce and cost prohibitive, and when charities are losing their local sources of support due to the dire situation that businesses and private donors are facing in the economic downturn of Venezuela.  This is an urgent lifeline for the most vulnerable Venezuelan children.

“We are so grateful for the impact this initiative has already had, and we would like to continue its momentum so that we can support and grow the number of children to this much needed food, shelter, education, and child care program.”
